Why we suffer...
Ever wondered why God put suffering in our lives?
Read this...
Tears on Earth, Rainbows in Heaven
A person, who has never experienced rejection in courtship,
has no right to comfort the broken-hearted.
A person, who has never experienced loneliness,
would not know what it is being lonesome.
A person, who has never experienced defeat,
would not understand the feeling of helplessness.
A person, who has never experienced sickness,
would not know what is misery.
A person, who has never experienced criticism,
would not comprehend the injury caused by ridicule.
A person, who has never cried,
would not be able to comfort the sad.
A person, who has never experienced humility,
would not be able to sympathise with the meek.
A person, who has never been cast aside,
is not deserving of the throne of the accepted.
A person, who has never been subjugated by God,
would not be a suitable instrument for God's use.
Without the Cross, how would there be the crown of glory.
Bottom line being....
God has intended to use the tears on earth to build the rainbows in the sky.
Using us to give hope and comfort to others.
I'm starting to understand and appreciate fully why I've been put through what I've been put through.
I can say now that I'm a more qualified friend...
It qualifies "I understand what you've been through... I know how you feel..."
So... shall we ask for more suffering then?
Shall we be suckers for torture?
Gawd...
