Last Teen Year

Living your childhood was probably slow and really educational. But what happens when we hit the teens? Doesn't everyday seem to get shorter with each year you accumulate? Just realised that it was my last teen year... What happens when you're 19?

Misread

The cold room turns warm...

My eyes grow wide.
Hot blood flushes through my flesh, fanning across my cheeks.
My heart pumps hard, sending a rush through my veins.
My ears feel feather-light with passion.
My breath grows laboured as oxygen infuses my lungs, touching my heart.
My skin glows.
Radiance shows.
My lips plump up, fuller by the minute.
The urge to have more attacks, forcing me to press my lips against the coolness of it.
My body jolts with every heartbeat.
Ecstasy pounds through my veins.

What have I just done?
I feel a reckless abandon, the urge to have more, the courage to say yes to more.

Wanting, needing... hoping...
With great relish, I pour myself another full glass of delicious white wine.
